Neo Year 2008

New Year is coming, got holiday at this 31st Dec, and nothing much but since it's the last day working, at least this will be the last entry this year. See you next year then. Short entry since it's time to go home already.

The End Is Near

Beware, the end is near!! Yeah right, the end of year 2007 that is. Can't believe it that it's almost 2008 already. Time really flies around when you are busy (or not). Well, nearing this year end, quite a lot happened to me. Some are nice, some are just plain bad.

First of all, I lost my CDMA phone. I dropped it somewhere near my house but I just couldn't find it anywhere. I called it lots of time but no one picked up and in the end, the battery just ran out so I guess I won't find it unless someone found it, charged it and tell me where s/he is.

So to anticipate that, I finally bought a new CDMA phone. After looking and asking around, I made up my mind and bought an LG ID3000. It got 65k color LCD, some nice rings, airplane mode feature, and the greatest of all, it came with an Esia package which lets me call or message to other Esia numbers FREE of charge for half a year. Neat, huh?

Now I won't have to worry about running out of calling credit. At least for the next 6 months.

Other than that, I went to office with my hunny yesterday. Her Mac lost its Airport feature so she needed internet connection to find out how to fix it. After looking and trying some tricks, the airport finally shows up. But this morning she told me that the airport is gone again. So much for the efforts. Hopefully it'll show up again soon.

As for works, I'm still working with Tanjung to finish the project. Not to mention writing news and helping maintaining Disitu site in between. Holcim also looks like it's still far from finish. Oh well, at least there's still something to do.

Busy Busy Busy

Wow.. Almost two weeks of absence. Maybe I really should spend some time here instead of working too much. But what can I say, busy seems to be my middle name lately. Let's see, I helped Tanjung on his project and almost completely abandoned Disitu. Well, I still wrote stuffs there but there are almost no enhancement or whatsoever there. I can only relaxed a bit after Tanjung and Ricky did the presentation.

Although there are still some minor errors (or maybe some majors here and there), lately I'm back at Disitu. I made some enhancement there like the hit counter for the Friends links and just now I finished a new component for Disitu. What it is, I can't tell you guys yet but hopefully it can be launched soon.

Oh, and did I mentioned about Heavy Knight's website? It's launched even though it's still under construction, but if any of you wishes to see it, you are welcome to visit it at Heavy Knight and maybe dropped a few comments.

And for the last part, I got this picture from my hunny. It was taken just a few days ago.

The one at the left is filled with origami birds I made for her. The other one is filled with origami butterflies she made for me. It took me almost a month to finish those birds, while it only took her about two or three days to finish those butterflies. Hmm, I wonder why?

Anyway, we went to Frendy and Jojo's wedding last Sunday evening. Charles took a picture of us and we really like it. Too bad I haven't got the picture yet, but I'll post it here as soon as I got it from Charles.

Sempurna

Whoa, Indonesian title. Haven't see that for quite some time now. Well, there is a reason why I wrote the title in Indonesian, or Bahasa for some people. Read on folks.

So, before I even tell you why, I'm going to backtrack to last Saturday when I heard a song at the Asian Idol preliminary, or whatever it is, which Mike sang. It's a song by Andra and the Backbone titled "Sempurna". When I heard that song, I felt it's a good one. Later on about two or three days ago, I copied a folder consisting songs from Ricky's computer just because there's this "11 Januari" song by Gigi, which I've been looking for a while. At that time I thought to myself, hey not bad. Well, it's actually far from not bad.

It's great! Why? Because when I browsed the directory, I found out that there's this "Sempurna" by Andra atB. So I listened to it, and the lyric is actually even better when you really listened to it. For those who don't know the lyric, here it is :

Pretty good stuff eh? My bro said that they are somehow a rock band, but this song is actually kinda acoustic so I enjoyed it even more. So for the moment, I'm into this song and actually learning to sing it. Of course the purpose is for my someone special. *wink*

What A Relief...

Is what I would like to say but right now not all things are great. Let's see, I still got to catch up with a lot of stuffs that I haven't finished yet for Tanjung's project. And then there's this Disitu site that went offline because I got a query for MySQL that apparently took up too much resource and causing the server to overload, so they blocked our database account. That's really bad though since there's nothing we can do about it even though I already found out the source of the problem and fixed it. So for all Disitu lovers out there, on behalf of all Disitu team, I would like to say we're so sorry for the inconvenience caused.

But surely after I rambled about all that, you wouldn't think that I'm really that desperate right? Of course not, there are also happy news. Such as my mom's back again here in Jakarta. Home-made food is just the best-est you know *wink wink* I also found out this one site where you can download PSX (or should I say PS One?) iso for free. Which means oldies games which I've looking for everywhere are mostly there. Ain't that just cool or what?

But of course what made me happy the most from all those is that I'm finally being approved as my hunny's boyfriend. You know, since we were kinda going backstreet for the last couple months from the beginning, it feels really good to be recognized and not having to sneak around, looking around and hope that no one sees us. So to celebrate this, here's a picture of both of us which is taken a while back ago. Now if only I can find that pic...

Stuffs Lately

Let's see, quite a lot happened lately. For one, I went to JHCC to attend the IndoComtech 2007 at last Saturday. We spent a few hours there, watching the overclocking competition, ate some Sate Padang, and body charging with some crowd just to get some comic books. But overall, it's a nice day. Too bad, it made us got sore feet.

Sunday equals religious day for both of us, so it's either JPCC or Ekayana, and last Sunday it's the latter. Went there and prayed for a while and then we went to TA to get my new jacket washed by Laundrette. After that, we had a brief lunch at McD and then we browsed through the new Timezone, which is for kids i guess, judging from the games available and the decorations. Well, shortly after that we went home.

And today, well today is not really a good day, since I felt kinda sick and spent most of the day lying in bed. Well, hopefully by tomorrow I'll get better. Still lots of work to do. And for now, it's resting time, so adios y'all.

A Small Thing Called Widget

Yep, see that small thingy under the Shout Box section? Yeah, that's what we call widget. And it's not just any ordinary widget. It's a widget from Disitu *grin* With this little thingy, now I can read news from Disitu without having to go to the site. Pretty neat huh? *grin again*

So anyway, for those that are accustomed to customizing your own blog or site, mayhaps (maybe/perhaps) you are interested in trying this widget out? It's really easy. Just go to Disitu and read the instructions there, and voila.. a new widget around at your blog or site.

Well, not much from me, as I'm busy with another project in hand, while supervising Sony, the new guy in MAX which handles the Holcim stuff for now, and helping with the joomla and Disitu stuff once in a while. Not feeling pretty well today but don't know why. Maybe just lack of food, that's all *grin*

New Week

Okay, so I promised I'll write soon last week, but turned out I'm kinda busy. Well, since I'm kinda free right now, might as well write an entry. Well, not much happened actually lately. Just went to PI with my hunny yesterday, ate at Sausage World, and then went around here and there and finally we decided that we're bored and went home. Later that night we talked and then went to sleep.

This morning I was late. Luckily only about 13 minutes which means it only cost me 5.ooo. Lucky *wink* After that it's the same old routine of writing an entry for Disitu, checking on Joomla, sending newsletter, and ate ketoprak for lunch. I'm also going to help Tanjung today at our other project. Hopefully I can help him.

Start of the Week

Yeah, surprised seeing me writing this soon? Well, I am myself, but I was thinking, why not write when there's something to write about? Just don't expect me to write much, since I just wrote last two days. So here goes.

Yesterday my hunny went to my place where we played Zelda together, well actually it's me who played while she watched me playing it. But still that's an activity we did together right? Then she had to leave early because she wanted to accompany her friend which has just been dumped by her boyfriend without no reason. Well, there are some reasons but they just don't make any sense IMO. Later on, I played some games and later that night I chatted with my hunny and then slept early. I had some sad thoughts before I was able to sleep though, which made me..

Woke up late next morning. That's what happened. Arrived at office at about 8.20 or something and started to work immediately. Wrote a news at Disitu (you guys know the link of course ^^) and then touched here and there at joomla again. Nothing much except I had noodles for brunch and snacked a burger at around 3 and then I worked again until now. Well, not for long since I'm going to see her tonight. She bought me a couple of those safe drinking bottles so I won't have to use those used mineral water bottles anymore. She's just so sweet you know? *mwah* Thanks hun.

So guess that's it for today. I'll wrap things up a bit before I went to see her. I'll see you all by tomorrow then, hopefully. Bye for now.

A Comeback

Been a while since that day. I know I said I'm going to abandon my blog for unknown period but apparently I just can't do it. Although the pain from reading previous entry still pains me, but you taught me that I need to move on. I need to forget the past and live in the present so I can reach the future. So here I am, writing down entries that I don't even know who read it. But if you read it then that's enough reason for me to write again.

Let's see, for start, I'm back with her again. Turned out that we still love and care for each other and it's just too painful for us to be apart. Being with her is all I care about now. Hopefully I can be with her forever from now on. Love you very much hun. *mwah*

Next, there is the site Disitu. Quite a lot to discover and fix there. Confusing and Complicated yet quite challenging. Even though I never thought about being a PHP developer, I guess it won't hurt to get some more knowledge, right?

Of course my life won't be complete without my family as well. My mom is currently at Penang right now, having fun with her friends. Hopefully she's happy and safe there. As for my bro, he just got back from Bandung yesterday. He got the long holiday while I don't. Well, different company though so no complains there. My sis? Just finished Zelda Phantom Hourglass recently and now she's focusing in WildArms 5 right now.

Speaking about games, I myself just bought a couple games yesterday when going to Megamall with my hunny. I bought Soul Nomad and the World Eater, Naruto something (I forgot the full title), Digimon World Data Squad, and Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3. But as you know I don't have enough time to play them. So I just have to wait for a longer holiday to play them.

Well I gotta get going now. My battery just run out and I need to recharge it soon so bye for now. See you soon.

Broken Hearted

Those are the last words she said to me before she hung up the phone. It's officially ended. I'm really sorry too it ended this way. Neither both of us wanted it but it happened. All I can do now is wept while trying to hold myself together and try to move on, although I doubt I can do it. At least not this soon.

All those memories, all those songs, all those places and events and foods and drinks and games and stuffs we did together. Now that I think about it again, my tears are rolling down even when I didn't want them to. All the hardships and obstacles we went through together. The ring and the promise, I always wanted you to be my lovely wife and the mother of our children. I really hurt you and still you wish to be together with me.

To me you'll always be my lovely hunny bala bala. No other will be able to fill that place in my heart. Will we be together again in the future? I can't say for sure. The thoughts of hurting you over and over again still haunt me until now. Even if I really changed for you, I just don't have the confidence anymore that I can make you happy.

I don't want to say goodbye to you. I don't ever want to say that. All I want to say now is until we meet again. Hopefully you'll stay healthy all the time, find a better job which you liked best and near your house, happy with the games you'll play, and most of all, hope you'll find someone who's a lot better than me. Someone who'll love you even more than I do, who'll cherish you even more than I do, and can make you really happy, unlike me.

Listening to the songs that I learned to sing to you, the tears again flowed and I can't stop it. Well, I didn't even intend to. I'm sad, lost and broken apart. How I wish to sing to you again. I really love you and I hope someday you'll be able to forgive me for all the things I've done to you.

Starting from this point, Lover's Note is no more as I no longer a lover anymore. And I also would like to say that I don't know when I'll be back to this blog again. New Look of Disitu.com

That's right. Disitu.com has officially changed its look. All thanks to me *wink*. Well, of course the others helped as well. I wouldn't be able to done it without the template idea from Martin and the advices from Cin. Well, they are the designers here so I couldn't agree more to them when they said that the color of a table column looked odd or the pictures are blurred or something like that. Oh and also with the joomla guide from Wiwid and the comments from the others too. I sounded like I just won a Grammy of something.

Being working on this new template for Disitu.com, I learned quite a few tricks of HTML, css and of course the joomla itself. Apparently Joomla's php files and template files are supposedly separated, see? If you wanted to add a new template, it can be done without changing any php file. But dear old Wiwid did some unthinkable stuffs and tinkered with the php files to match with the template files. Something that I think he shouldn't do from the start, but hey, he's the only joomla master at that moment, so there.

Anyways, being inherited with the files and templates, I finally found out that some of the php files needed to be fixed. Unfortunately, I still tinkered some of the php files (although not many) to match my template file. Someday, maybe someday, I'll be able to completely separate those two so I can change the php files with ease or switch templates without having to worry about the php files.

Well, one thing for sure, my hunny is okay now. Yay for her, and yay for me too because I'm just so happy to see her and finally be able to hug her and kiss her and well, hug her again. Hey, I missed her, okay? The point is that I'm happy that she's fine now. Hopefully she won't catch typhus anymore in the future. *mwah*

Guess that's all for now. Since Disitu web got a new look, might as well asked you guys and gals to go and see it yourself. Drop some critics and comments. Sick

Sickness is one thing, ya know? Today you're fine and then suddenly you're told that you got a high fever which could cause your brain damage, or you're sentenced to have only three months of living. Did I watch too much Korean Dramas? Not quite, but that's what happened around us. In my case, my dearest hunny.

At first, she only got some fever (although quite severe since she got around 38º C) and then after seeing the doctor, she was told that she got typhus. So she has to stay at home and not able to go anywhere for the next few days. Poor her. Poor me. We can't see each other this week and quite possibly next week if she don't recover soon. The question is when will she recover? Only time will tell. In the mean time, all I can do is just accompanying her and wish that she'll be okay soon.

Other than that, we at the office get to change our old monitors into LCDs. Neat huh? It's a 17" Samsung LCD SyncMaster 732N plus. Quite an LCD I must say. Too bad mine got a dead pixel near the center of the screen. Guess it'll be replaced soon. And we went back to our older sitting formation, which made me and Kukuh has to get back upstairs. Since we switched to LCDs, carrying them upstairs only needed one arm. *grin* Now that felt real good.

For works, mainly it's news for Disitu and maintaining Holcim. As for Buru-Buru, it's currently under pending until I can really have free times to code the game. Well, look at the time, I'm about to go home soon, so I'll see you all someday then. Maybe Monday? Yeah right, don't bet on it too much 'kay?

Another Weekend

As always, been a long time since the last entry. Let's see. Went to JPCC yesterday since we're late last week. After that we went to Plaza Indonesia for lunch. There we went to Office 2000 and my hunny took an interest for a 2GB Imation Flash Drive which only cost about 250k. But since I thought it's in PI and maybe it'll be more expensive so I said I'm going to check it on the net. After that I said I wanted to go to the toilet and she agreed. But when we entered, guess what, I ran to Hana florist shop and bought two pink roses for her. I wanted to give her a surprise and luckily i did. She's very happy about it and she smiled all day. Truly a worthy sight.

After that we went to California Pizza Kitchen and there we ordered a Peking Duck Pizza. After the meal and bill which cost about 100k and we're not even full. So later on we went to the food court and we ordered Sate Padang. I myself ordered a Kolak Pisang and after we're full, we went back to Office 2000 because my hunny really wanted to buy that Imation stuff. But it turned out that in the end I'm the one that bought a Sennheiser earphone. Too bad it only 1 m in length.

So what to do about it? We later on walk around PI and EX to find an extension cable so I can plug that Sennheiser to my computer at office. After a few stores and look around, we finally managed to found one at Beatz. After that we went home and that's that.

After The Long Weekend

Three free days! Wheee.. It's been like ages since the last time I spent free times in the middle of my working days. Well you know, being always having two free days sometimes is not enough. Not at all, mind you. But then again, those three days are always filled with at least me going either to office or to net cafe to write news at Disitu. Read on.

Okay, so my first day at Fri. Woke up at around 11 and cleaned the house a bit. Then me, my bro and my sis ordered something to eat from Bakmi Eko and after that I went to office to write something at Disitu. Chatted with Adit for a while and went home after around six. At night, my hunny felt so tired she went to sleep early, so I went to net cafe with my sis for a while and that's a wrap for Friday.

Saturday was fun too. Woke up at around 11 (again) but this time no house cleaning to do. So I chatted with her at phone for a while and after that I went to Mangga Dua Mall to accompany her buying her new BlackBerry 8100. After that we went about at the mall for a Logitech mouse, an auxiliary audio cable for my tape deck at home and to buy a new Esia number for my bro. We also ate at KFC and I did eat some sweet corns while she had some tahu gejrot. Went home at around 5 and at 9 my mom got home from Singapore. We hugged and talked and chatted and laughed. Sure is good times. Oh and my hunny is also asleep already since she's also kinda tired that day.

Sunday, we went to Jcc in the morning for the Wedding Festival 2007 since our bosses asked us to go there. Arrived there at about 10 and the patron said that it's not opened yet, at least not before 11. So we ate some tahu gejrot and at 11 we went inside. Nothing special really since it's for peoples that are going to get married. So we ended up looking around and gathering brochures and fliers and such. I took a few pics but most of the tenants are not allowing taking pictures so I just got a few. After we got bored there (which only took about an hour) we headed to Taman Anggrek to watch Ratatouille (Rat•a•too•ee) but before that we ate at Hartz Buffet. Well it's actually Hartz Chicken Buffet with a new look and a lot newer menus. But for me, Rp. 69.300 ,- / pax is a total rip-off. OK, back to Ratatouille, the movie is nice and funny, and I think the movie has a morale, which is of course, that "anyone can cook" *grin* after the movie we went about and around the mall and eventually went back home. Later that night, my uncle came and spent the night with us.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that earlier in the morning, I won 2 bottles of Nu Green Tea. So the first time I bought it, I thought, sure is nice if I won once in a while. And I did! After showing the cap to the cashier, I took a new bottle. And I teased the cashier, what if i won at the second bottle as well? And she said I can get another new one. So I opened, and I won again! But this time, I didn't exchange the cap with a new bottle as the new one is still full and the cashier need the cap to complete the exchange. So in the end I only get one new Nu Green Tea. But I was kinda lucky eh?

Anyways, it's kinda long post already so I better get back to work now. Adios for now.

New CDMA Phone

Been quite in the mood of spending money lately, haven't we? Hm, dunno why and dunno how, suddenly the thought of changing my CDMA phone just popped up inside my mind. Since my hunny really wanted to change her phone too because of loose battery cover and lousy handsfree, we went to OkeShop at TA last Saturday. After we found out that they are receiving older cellphones in exchange for a new one, we asked around and then came up with an idea of changing our cellphone together.

So there you go, when I got home and talked about it with my bro, he said that instead of selling my old CDMA phone for only 150k, it's better to give it to my mom. I thought to myself hey, not a bad idea. So I decided I'm only buying a new one instead of selling and buying. And yesterday at Sunday we went back to OkeShop and we bought ourselves a new CDMA phone each.

Well, being the narcissists we are, we decided to take a shot of our brand new phones. On the left is her new Nokia 2505 and on the right is of course my new Nokia 1265. Bad lighting spells bad picture result. And the rest after that is the usual Sunday getaway starring me and her. Bye for now. Still got quite a lot to do.

Nice Weekend

A nice way to spend a weekend is of course with your loved one. Let's see. At Friday night I went to Taman Anggrek to get the rings we ordered about two days before. Then I went to Tomang to accompany her because her car was stuck in the middle of the road because of the massive traffic jam caused by those campaign guys. There in her car we exchange rings and had a romantic, although without candles, dinner consisting of McD's Cheeseburger, french fries and lemon tea. Not the best, but surely unforgettable.

Saturday is basket day. Nothing much except I went to office to discuss the project with Langgeng, the action script programmer and came up with quite a lot of bugs. But nevertheless, he still seems to be in high spirit so let's try not mess up with that.

Sunday is quite interesting. We went to Taman Anggrek again, because she booked for a haircut at Lu'Vaze (is this the way to write it?) and I need one myself, only I did it at Johny Andrean (yet again I'm not sure this is the right way to write it). Finished by those, we went to McD for a quick lunch as we're in a hurry to Kukuh's place for his wedding party. I bought a white long sleeve shirt at Zara by the way. Looks good on me and the price is nice too. Anyway, as we're nearing Tebet, a message from Kukuh came which told us that the party is over. Well shucks, but since we're halfway there, might as well drop by and said hello. After that we went back to Taman Anggrek to buy a book titled "Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps", buy some Rotiboy for her family, rested for a while at 21 Cineplex, and then we're off to my home.

At home, we mainly watched tv and chatted and ate dinner and at around 9 she went home. Chatted with her for about an hour and then sleeping time. Must've been tired since I woke up late today and thus late for work. But still it's worth it. Back to Disitu then. Adios for now.

Feelin' Special

Wake up and smell the coffee - says Roxette. So I woke up this morning but without any smell of coffee, which is obvious since no one is brewing any coffee. I myself only got a couple of sleeping hours last night because of no air-con and lots of pesky little creatures called mosquitoes. After a couple hours of trying to kill them using Kukuh's famous electric racket and failed because they kept coming and coming, I gave up and tried to get some sleep while slapped myself silly because of the mosquitoes kept biting me and sucking my blood away from me. The clock was showing 3 AM in the morning and finally I decided to tuck myself into a bed sheet, which is big enough to cover my entire body, and thin enough so I won't sweat at all. At that time, I felt bliss.

Later in the morning, I'm awaken by a phone call. With my eyes still closed, I picked up the phone and there I heard a sweet voice waking me up and kissed me and finally said "Happy Anniversary hun". Yup, for those who didn't know or did know but forgot, today is my Anniversary with her. Hopefully the next years will be a lot better for both of us since I knew the past few months are pretty rough, and we managed to get this far, which is of course a good thing. Well, I'm seeing her tonight for some dinner, laugh, hugs, kisses, and maybe.. well, I'm sure all of you don't even bothered to know the details right? So I'll keep it to myself then.

And by looking at the time, I'm sure it's lunch time, so be right back in a few. Minutes, hours, days, weeks, you name it. Just don't count on it too much, mkay?

Exhausted

Been a long time! Surely it's almost three weeks since the last post here. Lately I dunno why I just didn't have the vibe to write any post at all. The mood just seemed to disappeared without any warning. Either it's the work I do now or other things, I don't know, but all I know is, it sure feels good to write here again.

Anyway, like the last post (read below) said.. er, wait a minute, I didn't mention anything about it. Oh well, forget it. I was gonna say that lately we're super busy with Disitu project. Everyday is a new journalism day for us now since we're writing news, updates, technologies, games, gadgets and even women (pictures are the most important thing of all). Not a single day pass by without any new news from us (except Saturday and Sunday when we got no internet connection, of course).

Other than that, I'm managing my first project *yay* which is going on for quite a few days now. Kinda hard in the beginning but once you get a hold on it, it's smooth as cheesecake I tell ya. *grin* Talking about cheesecake makes me hungry by the way. Well, aside from that, I'm just fine with my daily routine of working, loving, eating and sleeping. Nothing really new from me, well except for that maybe I'm buying a new motorcycle in the next week. Finally, can't wait to ride it to office and elsewhere.

Well whaddya know? Been almost three weeks and I still got the touch (not to mention the look *wink wink*) to write a blog. But since I'm kinda sleepy now and tomorrow is a big day with a meeting and stuffs, I better hit the bed earlier today tonight. Bye for now and see y'all soon (hopefully).

Feeling Uneasy

It's all come down to this. in the next month everything will be decided. good or bad, well, we'll see by then. happy or sad, it must be done. I can't even bear thinking about it right now. all I can say for now is that hopefully everything will alright.

Anyway, it's official now. we're abandoning XNA not just because the time limit is too slim, but there is also a sudden project called disitu. well not really that sudden actually, but the condition forced us to go all out on it. and since I'm no longer XNA-ing, I can focus on that one. if any of you are curious with that disitu thing, just check it out then on Disitu.

Besides that, we're also busy on some other projects. I'm not sure if I can tell you about them though, so I'll just say that one of them involves an Indonesian band, and the other with a certain big company. even as I write this down, the projects are rolling already and since I'm also involved in them too, then I think I better get going to work now.

As for the things I mentioned earlier, well I'll just try to do the best I can right now, and hoping that it'll be more than enough (or maybe barely enough). adieu for now.

Relaxed... Not!!!

Yeah, like the title said. no time to relax yet as the deadline is nearing very fast. I keep telling myself that and a schedule is set. but still there are unexpected errors everywhere like swarming bugs (get the pun?) so all I can do is take it like a man and deal with it everyday. hopefully I can still maintain a healthy sane mind when this is over. <*( >___< )*>

So I've been staying at office for overtime since Mon, but I went back home last night because my sis is coming back to Jakarta from Surabaya. anyway, I forgot to mention here that she's going to get married soon. maybe at the beginning of next year or something. I can only hope she's happy and get everything she wanted. since I can't say for sure now, stay tune for the next news about this.

Hmm, let's see, is there anything else? well, I've been watching the anime Bleach for the last few weeks. it's getting kinda exciting and more exciting. other than that, I'm also playing .Hack//G.U. vol. 2//Reminisce once in a while just because I played the first volume. it's a nice game so I'm kinda having fun playing that. been a while since I touched Seal Online. I wonder what ever happened to my character there.

Well, this turned out to be quite a long entry and since I got the rest I needed, it's time to continue on the coding stuff. see you all later then.

AI

Pathfinding?

That's just sooo yesterday.. XD

Introducing the next generation of head-aching, mind boggling, super ultra confusing, AI.. a.k.a. Artificial Intelligence.

Yep, starting last Friday, I'm into this problem now since I find the pathfinding problems are solved. after I'm capable of making a pathfinder, now I'm trying to build an engine for the AI processor. that way, the enemies and npcs won't just stand still and do nothing, coz the engine will tell them what they must do, according to their own AI type.

So let's say, I got this robot that has an aggressive type Pilot. that way, he'll always chase the team player all the time, which is of course different from a defensive type Pilot that only take action when offended. that's what my AI engine will do. of course it's still need some more tweaking and coding, which is not that easy. (OF COURSE IT IS NOT EASY!! I'VE BEEN SPENDING HOURS AND HOURS IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER AND YOU CAN EASILY SAYS IT'S EASY??!! WHY I OUGHTA.... *cough* *cough* sorry, got a little carried away back there)

So, with all that said, guess I'll be coding and tweaking the engine some more then. in the mean time, feel free to relax and have a cup of coffee or tea, your choice, and I'll be back soon, hopefully, to write some more tomorrow, or maybe the next day, or maybe the next week, only God knows. okay, bye for now.

Pathfinding..

Been doing some pathfinding for the last few days and now the thing finally ran smoothly, well maybe for the time being that is. the absence of writing these few days actually gave me a lot to write, but alas there is not enough time to write them all, and I'm also not really in the mood to write much.

Let's see, for the last long weekend, I went to Ekayana with hunny last Sunday, then went to Senayan City with my cousins that are coming to Jakarta. then there's the time when I went to Ekayana to celeberate Waisak. I also spent a day with my hunny at TA the whole day, and I also went to basket and lose some sweat, maybe some weight too hopefully.

Last Monday my bro just got back from Hong Kong and he sure had some stories. also tonight my sis will be back from Medan. her plane got delayed because of some technical problem from the AirAsia. luckily they informed me earlier so I can then inform my sis. oh and my mom is now currently in Bandung with my cousins.

Well, being not staying at the office for the last few days, I've been thinking about staying there now. hopefully by tomorrow I can stay there and do some of my works. and of course I missed you hun. it's just been a few days but I missed you already. luckily with the new pic-in-wallet, I can ease the feeling quite a bit. *mwah*

So with that said, I'm off for my work once again. it's pathfinding once again so adios for now. later y'all.

Yet Another Challenge

Yeah, after I finished the grids, came another new stuff to think about. ladies n gentlemen, may I introduce you, pathfinding.

Yep pathfinding. A* (A star), DFS (Depth First Search), BFS (Breadth First Search), Djikstra.. you name it. confusing and mind-boggling, those are subjects that I learned when I was still in college. and I never really pay any good attention to them. and now look where it came to now. dang..

Anyway, since a friend of mine said that BFS is the easiest for my needs, then I'll just try to check all the BFS related sites and articles, possibly codes and samples also, from the net. hopefully I'll get something out of it by tomorrow. really need to finish this as soon as possible. if not, might as well look for other way for the pathfinding, maybe A*? looks like a lot of people liked it.

And on top of all, I'm currently going home everyday, because my bro is still at Hong Kong with his office fellows and my sis is at Medan right now, so I'm basically responsible for the house and my mom there ^^ maybe later when my bro is back from HK, I'll continue to stay at the office to burn the midnight oil.

Refreshing Week

Just spent another nice weekend. played basket 'til I can't stand, talked to my hunny until I barely open my eyes, played games together, spent time together, etc. etc. and etc. too much to said here, and now into a new week of chaos and confusion once again.

Just kidding.

This week since I felt refreshed, might as well do my job as good as possible. deadline is near and the game is far from finished. call me pessimistic but maybe I am. all I can do now is to just do it the best I can and we'll see from there.

So with that, I'm leaving for a while now. hopefully I still have time to write more in the next few days. ja ne ^^ *mwah* luv u as always hun.

Stupid Regional Setting

Yeah, so I was fiddling with this program of mine just yesterday because it won't run. well, it ran alright, but it ran weird. the 3D models are not displayed on the screen, and the cursors tris are drawn weirdly. only the 2D images and texts are shown correctly.

Anyways, I of course started to check what could probably be the main problem immediately. but after checking here and there, I really got no clue on what's going on. then I thought it's because of the on-board graphics adapter. but soon that theory was broken because of other applications that were running smoothly, even though there are 3D models as well.

Then I started to get curious on the camera. since the others ran well, that must've meant that my application is the one I should take a closer look at. after a series of trying here and there, I finally tried to set a fixed camera where I'm going to display the models. and it worked!! the camera IS the main problem.

Having a clue, I started to check thoroughly around the camera and the cause of the camera malfunction. then after a little more closer look, I found out that the camera coordinates are messed up. instead of a Vector3(50, 0, 50), I have this Vector3(5+E7, 0, 5+E7). that's about 50 million in coordinates!! why did my coordinates went up so high?

And after trying various all checking, I finally found out that the main problem is not the camera, but the Regional Setting of my computer. confused? here let me explain. turned out that, when I was installing a new OS for my new computer, I set the Regional Setting for Indonesian. and since my coordinates are in float, which I get around 50.000000 (in float that's 50 with 6 decimals) and since it's in bloody Indonesian setting, the application read it as, yep you said it, 50.000.000 aka 5+E7. so all I had to do, was just set the Regional Setting back to English (United States) and voila, the application ran without a flaw.

Crappy stupid Regional Setting just cost my precious one day programming away. never again will I trust Indonesian settings for my applications. >:3

Second Birthday?

Yeah, when I just got home last night, my mom asked me whether I'm going home tonight or not, and I said "Maybe not, why?" and she said nothing but instead she showed me something in the cooking pot at kitchen, and I gasped..


My mom's gonna cook spaghetti tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (OK, maybe I'm not supposed to sound so hysterical like this. I just wanted to do it once in a while though ^^)


That's definitely a going-home-straight-after-work. been almost a year since my mom last cooked spaghetti. surely that's not what I'm planning to miss. not to mention today is my Chinese birthday. not sure how to know exactly when I'm gonna celebrate it next year since as you guys know, Chinese calendar isn't the same as the Gregorian one.

Well for start, my mom cooked me some rice and egg noodles (it's misoa btw, if any of you are not familiar with it) with some gingers, pork chops, and a couple of eggs. nice breakfast and it set me to the mood. after that it's going to office and work as usual.

Can't wait for tonight's delicacy though, so I guess I'll hold on to my drools a little bit longer before it flooded around my computer. later then. got a new computer to take care of. and for my hunny, you know what I'll say ^^ *mwah*

Clearance and Confusion

Just fiddled with the cameras and cursors yesterday and I almost finished it, if not for the strange coordinates and depth or what-so-ever things from the 3D model's meshes. oh, I'm sorry, did I sound too technical? well actually I'm not really good at talking technically but I think it's still to technical for common people.

Anyway, I just got a new computer today and I spent a day moving data and installing applications so I can get back to coding as soon as possible, but suddenly I ran into some problems as my previous application won't run under the new computer, probably because of the on-board graphics adapter.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy about getting a new computer. the older one sometimes ran slowly and it can be quite troublesome. well, since it's five, I better get ready to go home so I won't arrive late and worry my hunny. *mwah*

Holiday

Yeah, tomorrow is a holiday, the Ascent of Jesus Christ, if I'm not mistaken. anyway I don't really care what holiday it is nowadays since all I need is the holiday itself ^^ having said that, I'm off for home tonight then, since besides it's holiday tomorrow, my wallet is thinning *grin* I kept forgetting to draw some cash from ATM.

As for tomorrow, I'm planning to spend time with my one and only hunny. just thought of some place where we can be alone, only the two of us, enjoying our moments, and have some fun. maybe at home? hahaha. we'll see tomorrow then.

And I also need to treat the guys for my birthday. maybe this Friday or Saturday will do. still need to think about where and when. well, the coding progress is kinda smooth these days so I'll continue on to it and leave you all for the time being. see you all later then.

Another Milestone Passed

Added one year in my life, which means now I'm 20. hmm, gotta think more about life and less about playing eh?

Just kidding, it's my 26^th birthday. yay for me. well I don't really need much this year, as I already got what I need. a girlfriend who is so loving, caring, understanding and loving, and also caring, and did I mention understanding? haha, started to get weird as usual.

Anyway, just spent my birthday happily, since she came to office and accompany me until after lunch, where she went back home. too bad it can't be the whole day, but it'll do. ^^

So, since I need to get going to SWI in a couple of minutes, I'll just say "Happy Birthday" to myself, and be happy about it. oh wait, I forgot. I already did ^^ *mwah* yours forever hun.

Spiderman 3

Not much I can say about this movie, since maybe there are a lot of reviews about it already around the net, but this one is from my point of view.

From most of the comments that I heard, this movie sucks. hey, that's what people tell me. well maybe not straightly saying those words, but still the disappointment and negative response from my simple question "how's the movie?" like "yeah, it was OK", "it's not really worth it", "I've seen better", "Superman is better", and so on made me thought "is this for real?" I mean, come on, the first two movies are a blast. they sold box office world wide and now the third one just went down like that?

That's when I thought to myself, I really should see this movie and prove it myself. and since I've seen the first two, this one is surely a must-see. so off I go watching this movie with my hunny. I went straight to Megamal when I'm done working and after dinner, we watch it together, and this is my review.

For me, this movie is not so bad at all. well maybe the enemies are too many this time, since spidey usually only deals with one enemy at a time, so the battle portion for each enemy is not long enough. the story is also kinda standard. but the appearance of venom is nice, sandman is also cool, and the new goblin looks way much better than green goblin. black spiderman also looks nice and the way Toby dances around, well let's not talk about that part. the fighting somewhat got cooler and more intense, but with the short duration, I think people will be hard to please. the last battle is nice although some of the scene aren't really that necessary to show.

Overall, the movie is somewhat OK for me, since I don't really felt disappointed after the show. I think I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. next coming is Shrek 3^rd and Pirates of the Caribbean. we'll see if they'll get the same response from the audience or not.

For now, let's get back to work, shall we? ^^

Obstacles

Been a while..

Well, since I thought shaders can be done while I'm doing the whole project, I'm leaving it as it is for now and jumped into the whole coding again. finally I'm seeing some coding and not just fiddling here and there but really do the coding.

But then something came popping out from no where.. cameras..

Yep, cameras. it sure is a wonder how a single camera coding can make me frustrated and confused for, let's see, 3 days with today. well, finally me and Cin agreed on something so we can move on to the next stuff..

And I'm stumbled again.. with cursors..

Now the confusion grows and I better get back to that before it consumes me.. *urgh* 3D coding sure is deadly, especially when you are the only coder.. the pain, the agony.. *glekh*

Third Sequels All The Way

This month is going to be a blast. there are three movies that I'm planning to watch with my hunny, and all of them are the third sequel of their own collections. namely the first is Spiderman 3, where the great ol' Spidey will meet and hit with New Green Goblin, Sandman and the everlegendary Venom. can't wait to see it soon. the movie is set to launch at 4^th of May but from info from cineplex said that at 2^nd of May the movie has already begun to show everywhere. and most of all, the tickets are sold from today!! you can buy tickets for this weekend's show. it's going to be wild I tell ya hehe..



OK, secondly there is Shrek the Third. he's back with princess Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Prince Charming and many more. the story will revolve around the battle for the throne of the land of Far, Far Away. a battle? in a movie like Shrek? ho boy.. must be a funny battle scene then. although I'm not really into Shrek, my hunny is. so I guess it'll be fun if I watch it with her, since I can see her happy face ^^ can't wait for this one either. oh and the movie is set to launch at 18^th of May. we'll see by then.



And last but surely not the least, Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End. what ever happened to the slick, cunning yet somehow attractive and charismatic (not always though) Captain Jack Sparrow? after he's swallowed by the hideous beast pet of Davy Jones (I think it's a kraken or something) into the depth of Davy Jones' Locker, the rest of his crew now has to find a way to rescue him, and after that, the world itself. a spectacular battle will involve Jack Sparrow and the gang, Davy Jones and his henchmen, the Royal Navy, and the East India Trading Company at an enormous whirlpool. scheduled at May 25^th, this movie is surely a must-see!! ^^

Woke up battered, lost and confused this morning. I could hardly get any sleep last night, well I slept at 5 though. now I don't really know what to do, with lack of sleep and self confident, I'm starting to believe that my world is slowly but surely crumbling down.

Is this a dream, a hallucination of blurry mind, or is this reality, bites as hard as it hits? if this is a dream please wake me up, and if this is reality please pick me up.

Another wrong entry at MAX's blog. I forgot to check which blog it was when I wrote the entry. oh well, it's like hitting two person with one stone I tell ya. anyways, below is the entry I wrote there which is supposed to be here in the first place. so there.

Gonna start on using Torque this Mon. in the mean time, gotta finish the XNA slide and demos for this Sun's MAX gathering. quite a short entry this time, although it's been almost a week without entry. really sorry for that, and will try to make up to it soon.

Microsoft In JHCC

This morning I went to JHCC with Ricky and Kukuh to attend an event by Microsoft. they are launching Windows Vista, and along with that are other seminars. each of us attended one different seminar as there are a lot and the rule is that a person cannot exchange seminars in between the time the seminar is held. I entered for the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and later on Ricky tagged along since he said the MCF (I rather forgot, is it Microsoft Compact Framework or Microsoft Communication Framework) is rather boring.

After three speakers, namely Risman Adnan, Agung someone (sorry I forgot >_< ) and Zeddy Iskandar, had their share of time and presentation, we finally went back to office. on the way back, we stopped near Permata Hijau for lunch. me and Ricky had Baso Pak Kumis, while Kukuh ordered some satay from a stand nearby. after some munching and talking, we finally left. some useless info btw, I bought the newest Zigma.

Arriving at office, I started to fiddle more on XNA and HLSL. still lots of pain and confusion hanging around. oh, I'm not teaching tonight since the students said so. guess that means more time to fiddle? or for rest? only God knows. -____-

A Quickie

Not much to write today as I can't really think of something to put in here, other than the fact I'm starting to learn HLSL more. quite a language it is since it's starting to confuse me more and more.

Not to mention the deadline that's drawing near. aarrrrgh.. the pain.. the agony.. *urgh*

Looooong Weekend

Yup, what a long weekend it turned out to be. well not really that long since it's only a day more than the other weekends. hmm, let's see. for start, at Fri I just stay at home playing games and having a nice rest. but then my bro starts talking about how he wanted to make a suit for his friend's weeding this Sat. so off I go with him and my mom to Ciputra Mall, or should I say CL. there we went to M.J. Textile and there we ordered 2 suit, which I chose the black color while my bro picked the greyish black one. the clerk there said that it can be done by this Sat and it only cost 400k. cheap? on the average? not really sure but at least now I own a suit. ^^ pretty neat eh? at least I got something to wear at Ricky's wedding party later.

After that, I went to Citra 21 to buy a couple of tickets for the TMNT movie. yeah, the turtles are back in actions. this time they are fully animated in smooth 3D. for me, it's like childhood times all over again, the excitement in seeing them fighting, the fearless Leonardo, smart Donatello, anti-hero Raphael, and the clown Michaelangelo. Shredder is not around though but that doesn't mean there aren't any mean enemies. okay enough for the movie, i don't want to end up spoiling things. after the movie, it's go home, take a bath and play games while talking on the phone. with who? none other than my one and only hunny ^^ *mwah*

At Sat, I woke up at 12 and ate lunch after a short bath. and after that it's the usual Saturday routine where I talked to her at phone and went to Medit with Jun for basketball session. played until it's dark (around 7 that is) then went home just to found out that the water from PAM is so dang dirty, I skipped bath that night. can you imagine? skipping bath even after I played basket. boy I felt so dirty and itchy but what can I do? finally after a short talk with my hunny, I cooled myself at my mom's room. going to bed at 1 after watching American Idol.

Sunday. hmm, woke up with sores almost everywhere. I went to office to finish up some works I forgot. and after that went to CL again at noon. ate at McD and then going around window-shopping. my sis joined me for a while and after that she went elsewhere with her bf. so at 3 I wanted to go home but it's raining real hard. so I got no choice but to wait until the rain stopped, and finally at 5 I was able to go home. took a few detours since there are some areas flooding because of the rain. got home at 6, took a bath, and talked to her until it's time to dinner. and then talked to her again until sleepiness came. it's nite nite and sweet dreams time.

Monday morning came (and with it, a lot more sores *ouch*). woke up, took a bath, breakfast, and then off to office. talked to her all the way since she slept early last night and as the result, woke up early this morning. arriving at office before 8 and now it's working time. later then.

How Quick Time Flies

Been a couple of days without any entry. I'm beginning to get lazy again. hmm.. anyways, this past few days was quite confusing and mind-taking for me, since I'm still searching for good tutorials to learn about effects (fx) files for our game. well all I need is lighting and shadows for the moments, but still nothing found on the web. quite frustrating though.

On the other hand, I happened to try a few MMORPGs lately. they are free and quite fun to play, but at the cost of me being addicted? hopefully not. well, the first one is RF Online, which I played on a private server and guess what? the morning I started playing it and at the very same day, it was shut down. apparently Lyto being the true legal owner of RF Online wasn't very happy about the fact that there are people already playing the game, and worst, freely.

Next, there are Heroes and Scions of Fate. both are games which I played using international servers, since they are not available in Indonesia, and I guess they're never will. Heroes is a game which focused on Chinese traditions. nice graphics, movements and such. too bad I can't create my own character.

While Heroes can't create your own character, Scions of Fate can. in Scions, it's quite a fantasy world, eventhough more or less it still takes the looks of Asian cultures. the characters are in SD mode so it's more like a cute game. but the leveling is so hard, you'll practically need a party to do leveling starting from level 15 i guess.

Well, I'm not really an addict to MMORPGs anymore, although sometimes it itches me to go and try some games. but ever since I quitted RO, MMORPGs are more or less the same to me, be it Tantra, Seal Online, RYL, WOW, FF XI or the three I just mentioned above, or even the others that I may have not known yet.

Well, to me it's all just about leveling, choosing a job, collecting stash to make money so you can buy stronger weapon and armor so you can go to places with stronger monster to level up evenmore, sell stashes that are more expensive, and so on and so on. maybe sometimes forming a party so you don't die quickly, doing quests to get unique weapon or armor so you can show it off to some n00bs, being pestered by amazed n00bs afterwards. oh and most of the games now have something called pet system, some have marriage system. but then again, maybe it's just me being too lazy to do leveling since there are so much bots and cheaters lurking around.

Gamers these days. pah..

I Like Monday

So another beginning of a week. Just for a recap, last Sat I went to basket at Medit as usual, and then go home and get some rest while talking to my hunny. I did go online for about 15 to 20 minutes for checking up my bank account for the donations.

At Sun I went to the elder house with my hunny and the IC guys. it's fun there, we sang, we laughed, and we gave hugs to most of the old peoples there. I can see the happiness in their eyes by our visit. hopefully what we've done will give them happiness and strength for the days to come.

After that, me and my hunny went back to my place for some chit chat and game. she went back home at three. spent the rest of the day playing games and talking to my hunny by the phone. by the way, it's our another yet happy monthlyversary. five more to come before our real anniversary. really looking forward to it hunny. love you verily machily *mwah*

Monday comes, and when I arrived at office, Candra gave me the installer for RF Online. tried and played for a couple of minutes, I guess the game is ok. maybe I'll invite my hunny to play together. maybe that way, it'll be more fun.

Anyway, those are just some intermezzo. time to get back to work now so later then.

Weekend

Weekend, a word that consists of 2 words, Week and End. basically means that it's the end of the week. but how come there are no Weekstart, or Weekbegin? hmm, maybe people don't like to begin something, but instead they rather end things.

Anywayyyyyy, surely it's already nearing weekend. which means it's approaching the time to meet my hunny. sometimes I wish I can meet her more than just like this. but what can I say. it's not like I can just meet her anytime I want.

Well, hopefully this Sunday the gathering will be a successful one. and then there's this gathering at Kelapa Gading tomorrow for one of our elder member which hasn't been online for a long time already. but I don't know yet wether I should go or not, since I'm not really that well yet. maybe well enough to go to basket, but I dunno if I could go all the way to Kelapa Gading and stay there for about an hour or two and then go home again. for that, we'll see then.

One and a half hour to go, and my training will start. guess I'll go lunch sooner so I can prepare myself. got no belt so maybe I won't tuck my shirt into my pants. but luckily I got a tie. Cin lent it to me just now. cool. guess this would be one experience I would never, or at least try not to, forget ^_^

Hmm, wontoon noodles sounds delicious now, don't you think? gosh I'm starving >_<

Fooled

Yesterday I thought I've been better. and then I coughed real hard and long, and I realized that I'm still sick.

Crap..

Why can't this pain go away? it kinda hurts everytime I cough and not to mention I'm afraid the guys around me will get sick too.

How long must I endure this?

Felt Better

Yeah, woke up this morning feeling a bit better than last night. actually I already got a feeling that I'm starting to get better last night since I didn't cough that much, compared to the night before.

And what really surprised me is that last night I ate fried rice, which I don't think is recommended in my state. but amazingly, I didn't feel anything, other than full. well, actually I rather prefer soupy food for my dinner, but since it's almost midnight and I guess I can't get any of them anywhere (well maybe I can, but it would be like miles away maybe?) finally I called Kukuh which happened to be still outside at wartel and asked him to buy me some dinner.

Btw for lunch yesterday, I ate Kwetiau Kuah and Mie Ayam Pangsit. 2 portion at once. and it helped me to not think about snacks up until night. kind of a good way to prevent myself from eating snacks eh? I really want to get rid of these cough A.S.A.P.

How I long for a bar of chocolate right now.. >_<

Still Not Getting Any Better

Sore throat is gone, the cold is lessen, but now I cough a lot. hopefully I'll be okay before this weekend, since there are some events I sure don't wanna miss.

First, this Friday I'm attending a training at Head Office for the subject "Ettique and Table Manner". since it's for limited seat only, it'll be a waste if I can't attend it.

Secondly, there's this gathering by IC Forum for the elders where we're supposed to give the donations that we're receiving right now. we'll also give hugs to them to show our care and affections. hope it'll at least bring a smile to their faces.

I'll try to contact you as soon as possible. and please note that even though the event will be held at April 1^st it doesn't mean that we're doing April fool. this event is for real and we really mean it.

Crappy Sore Throat

Woke up with a sore throat. crap. maybe it's the omellete I made last night. maybe it's the nu green tea i drank last night. maybe it's the lack of drink or sleep. either way it's sickening.

Well lately I didn't play much game. the latest would be, let's see, Rogue Galaxy for PS2. quite a nice game, considering I love RPGs. then there's this Digimon World 4. quite an oldie but kinda cute to play. just starting to play though since I'm actually not really in to it.

Oh did I mention I woke up late today? guess it's a sign. I think I'm getting sick. time to take those pills ^^

Anyway, gotta go have lunch. since I got this sore throat, I really wanted to eat meatballs. I craved for meatballs since two or three days ago actually, so now is the time then. so adios for now.

Lost In Thoughts

Lately I'm not really in mood for writing anything. I dunno what happened, maybe it's the weather, or it could be the internet connection. either way, I'm pretty lazy just to do almost anything. luckily I still got spirits for works. deadline is still way ahead, but judging from our development speed, I think we're gonna need to burn more midnight oil if we're aiming for the top place.

So far, life is still just about the same. working from Mon to Fri, and having fun at Sat and Sun. I still accompany her to church sometimes and vice versa, she accompanied me to Ekayana. sometimes we spend our time at the mall and sometimes it's at the office, watching movie and spending some time together.

So the question still remains.

"How to make these robots animate?"

Hm, how I long for a Starbuck's ice cold Caramelle Frappucino. I think I need to get it someday. I think I need to dye my hair too. red is a nice choice of color but since i did it before with red, do you think yellow will look good on me? I prefer blue though.

Hm, decisions decisions decisions. can't life without one, can you?

Lost

We lost the warm-up competition. well, I think we deserved it. after all, all we did was just changing the 3D model, add a few extra stuff and changed the main menu. and the rest is just about the same.

Compared to the winners, our game was really like a child's work. well, still we did our best and I think the experience worth it. at least now I know that I need to spare at least a full day just to make sure the upload goes well and out there are peoples that got talents. we can't expect to win all the time, else it'll make us arrogant and lose control to ourselves.

So I guess now I just got to move on and concentrate more on the real deal now. yeap, the real competition has already started and the due date is July 2^nd. looking at the 1^st prizes makes me drools but I need to focus and try not to think about it for the moment. what's more important is that I learn how to deal with 3D stuffs first as it's going to be 3D battle out there.

A Drop of Relieveness

Can you imagine me working from 8 to 5? well of course you can. it's like a daily routine from 8 AM to 5 PM. well guess again. I'm talking about 8 AM to 5 AM. yep, you heard (or should I say read) right. it's actually already passed a few days behind, but since I'm in the mood for some sharing, I wanna tell it all of you.

First of all, you all faithful readers must already know that I'm doing the codes for XNA Gaming Competition. and about a week ago, Kukuh told me about the warm-up contest in which we must use the already coded Space War Kit from the XNA SDK and we must enhance it to become a better and more playable game. (better is a must, playable not really ^^) so I spent almost a week in front of my PC, working and trying to solve how to use the 3D engine and since I'm used to 2D programming, it's kinda hard for me. hopefully I'll manage soon enough.

Moving on, since I'm doing it alone (all the other guys got their own matters to attend) it took me almost 2 to 3 days just to understand the flow of the codes. so after I finished understanding (a bit) of the codes, I started to fiddle with it. changing the 3D objects, re-code some codes (doh..), blah blah et cetera et cetera.. you know the drill. it went for about 3 more days.

The final showdown was when the game must be submitted in the next morning. I spent the night alone (not entirely alone though, thanks to my hunny *mwah*) at the office doing the codes while the other boys were snoring upstairs. finally my consciousness gave up and I went to bed at around 5.30 AM. since the game is not entirely finished, I woke up again at 8 AM, took a bath and started coding again. at that time, all the other boys helped me out the way they can.

Well, just like Yohanes Surya said, "Mestakung!" finally I was able to finish the game (although maybe not really on time) and submit the game to the XNA website. after that, I was like totally fell into deep slumber and by the time I woke up, it's already 8 PM. *w00t* after that I took a break eating and calling my hunny and after that I'm back to sleeping.

Well, until now I'm still waiting for the decision about the warm-up contest winner. while on that, I'm now going through a tutorial on the internet about 3D gaming engine. hopefully it'll enlight me more. until then, I'll be doing some more research and coding so if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way to more hours of confusion and excitement.

Back Online

Finally after a few weeks of not connected to the internet, I'm back online now. It seems that our modem is struck by lightning. pretty bored, but soon I managed to get by not using internet, plus I got more time to do my works (not that I don't work when there's internet).

Anyway, yesterday we're celebrating Chinese's New Year. so Gong Xi Fa Chai for all of you. hopefully this pig year will be more prosperous and successful for everyone.

Yet Another Late Post.

Yeah, my gf just asked me (last nite) why no new update yet to my blog. so I said to her, yeah I don't know myself. maybe due to works and phone calls and games. well, since I'm currently trying to upload a couple of pics to photobucket for MAX blog, I might as well write something here.

Let's see, what should I talk about? OK, last week we went to Bandung for our company outing. it's fun although exhausting and I got some nifty prices which are a pair of new sandals and an intel pocket knife (I don't know intel are into pocket knife as well?) and the games are quite entertaining. we also went to Bandung (we stayed at Lembang for the outing event) for a couple of hours and we met Satya and Jun there. we had a lot to talk about while eating and drinking at Kartika Sari. and to end that day, we played DotA at HO for about 3 hours and I called my gf at night thus ending my long exhausting weekend.

For this week, nothing much really. I tried to 'Mestakung' myself by printing a schedule and post it at the wall near me so I know what to do and when it should be done. I also wrote "Harus Bisa!!! MESTAKUNG!!" to encourage myself. did it work? well, we'll see then. ^^

Well, the upload is done so I guess I'll be going now. it's near lunch time and I'm quite hungry already. I'll be seeing you at my next post then. adios amigos. til we meet again.

Fresh Start

Right.. my third year in writing blog. hope this will continue on til long time. sorry i don't really have anything to write and not to mention no time to write it too. all i can say now is that although the year just started 2 days ago, there are already loads of tons of works waiting and nothing to do about it but keep moving onward.

Since the earthquake incident at Taiwan which made the internet connection going hay-wire, i almost never touched internet. luckily now it's more or less better now. so allow me in this opportunity to say "Merry Neo Year 2007" to all you guys out there. sorry it's abit late but surely it's never late to for something like that eh?

Well, since i've said what i should've said, and time is ticking btw, then i shall take my leave now. be seeing you at the next post and keep that smile on your face coz let's face it, everyone looks the best when they smile right? and if you can keep that smile on your face all the time, then you'll be at your best all the time. well, at least that's what I think.
